The Gold Duster Gas-Vac Kit gives you everything you need to easily convert your gas powered leaf blower into a gas vacuum for drywashing, prospecting etc. This 5 gallon plastic bucket has been modified to accept the down tube from any Sears, Snapper, Poulan, Weed Eater, or Echo brand shred and vac leaf blowers. A 6 foot long 2 1/2 inch vacuum hose and a plastic crevice tool are included. The blower attaches very easily to the special screw on lid. The special lid also has a built in debris screen. The blower is not included.

This is how easy it is to create your own powerful gas vacuum.
Locate the protective screen on the bottom of the blower. This cover is designed to shield the blower fan blades when you are not using the Shred & Vac features.
Remove the screen. This can be easily accomplished by loosening the screws that hold the 2 piece clamshell body of the blower together, until the screen cover will come off. ( It is not necessary to remove the protective screen, but if you do not it will make the blower sit a couple of inches higher when placed on the bucket. )
Locate the down tube attachment and cut it off so that the tube is about 5 inches high. ( If you elected to leave the protective screen on the blower you need to make the down tube a couple of inches taller.)
Attach the down tube to the blower. The down tube snaps on to the pictured blower, but it is held on by a screw type attachment on some models. Caution: ( Do not run the blower without the down tube in place after you have removed the protective screen as the fan blades are exposed. )
The down tube will now simply insert into the lid of the Gold Duster Vac and you are ready to go to work. You can glue the down tube into the receptacle or put a little silicon sealant around it if you want to, but this is not normally required.

6 Feet of 2 1/2 inch Vacuum Hose and the Plastic Crevice Tool are included with the kit.
You can purchase the Sears blower at Sears. The Snapper or Poulan brands are available at Wal-Mart. The other brands are available at home improvement stores like Lowes.
