A word to Buyers and Sellers 

BUYERS  

The Lifestyle Store has established this bulletin board as a venue to show and sell used equipment and related items. Many of the items listed are used inventory of The Lifestyle Store or Lifestyle Store affiliates, items consigned to the Lifestyle Store, and items listed for sale by individuals.  If  you are purchasing items listed by the Lifestyle Store you can pay for them with credit cards and Pay-Pal. You must also pay California  sales tax of 7.75% if  we ship them to a California address. If you are purchasing an item listed by a Lifestyle Store affiliate you need to check with that store for payment options. If you are purchasing an item listed by an individual you need to work out payment options with the listing party.

 Warranties on consignment equipment and Lifestyle Store inventory are as follows and will be noted on each listed item:  

• (1) No warranty: As is with no warranty at all.
• (2) Guaranteed to work: The parts mentioned in the listing will all be there and the item will work when you receive it.  For example a metal detector will work and detect properly, an engine will run, a pump will pump. If for any reason you are not satisfied with the performance of the equipment you must notify The Lifestyle Store within 3 business days after your receipt of the equipment that you are returning it. You are responsible for the shipping and handling cost to return the equipment to The Lifestyle Store.
• (3) Factory Warranty:  The item is new enough to be covered by the original manufacturers warranty. Arrangements for repairs under the factory warranty are subject to the terms of that warranty and arrangements for repairs are solely the responsibility of the buyer. 

SELLERS  

You can use this bulletin board free of charge to list your used equipment and related supplies as long as the following guidelines are met: 

• (1) This service is offered to individuals for non commercial use in selling their own equipment or supplies. 
• (2) The items listed for sale must be prospecting, metal detecting, or rock collecting related. 

We need the following information in the body text of your email.

(1) A good description of the item being listed.

(2) If the item is for sale or trade or both.

(3) The price of the item.

(4) Your email address and or telephone number, if you want to accept telephone inquiries.

(5) Where the item is located. 

The listing will be checked to be sure it meets our guidelines and placed exactly as you send it to us or you will be notified that it does not meet the guidelines and why. Another possibility is to place the items with us on consignment for sale. For details on consignment sales, please refer to the consignment sales section below.  

Interested parties will contact you directly by email or phone and negotiations between you and the potential buyers are strictly your business; as The Lifestyle Store makes no warranty of the honesty or reliability of the individuals using this service to purchase the items you list. [top] 

Another possibility for selling your used equipment and supplies is to place them with The Lifestyle Store on consignment. There is no fee for placing items on consignment but a 20% commission is charged when the item sales for that service. To place items for sale on consignment the items must be sent to The Lifestyle Store. The cost of shipping the item to The Lifestyle Store is the responsibility of the seller. If at the option of the seller the item is withdrawn from consignment sale the seller is responsible for the shipping and handling cost of returning the item to the seller.  Placing items for sale on consignment has advantages it relieves you of the hassles of dealing with buyers and it allows buyers to use credit cards to purchase your equipment. Please do not send items to us for consignment sales without making prior arrangements.
